Khajiit was born (hatched? inflicted upon?) to a family with too many mouths to feed and too little to go around. His parents were very much so in love, but not with their litter of goblins kittens. Therefore, he was more often than not left to fend for himself to fill his hungry belly. He wasn’t cute and small, like his siblings - too many eyes, oddly large hands and teeth - so begging for food was almost always a fruitless practice. He learned quickly he had a talent for visual manipulation, especially on small things like cards and dice. His talents in sleight of hand grew stronger the more he practiced - and so did his running speed as he ran from dissatisfied customers. He learned how to play games of chance that always favored the house, and yet somehow, these suckers fell for it every time. As he grew older, he learned to smooth talk his way out of a confrontation, but as a young lad he occasionally let his temper get the best of him. Once, an angry gentleman was incensed and insisting the game was rigged, and Khajiit simply stuck his tongue out. The gentleman lowered his horns and charged at Khajiit, and much like the running of the bulls, he ran for his life. He narrowly escaped from tragedy by slipping down a small alleyway and disappearing underfoot, but from that day forth he learned to mind his manners.
