Marianne has never been particularly adept at making friends. She has often rubbed people the wrong way and has never been particularly graceful in a conflict. She has a few strong friendships that have lasted over the years but overall Marianne’s friendships seem to fall into two camps; friendships that last forever, and the short ones that have a rather dramatic end. An example of the latter category was Marianne’s friendship with Norah. Norah was the royal guard for the Queen of Prynith, Narissa. The two would fulfil similar roles at cross-kingdom functions, so the two often got chatting. They were similar to each other in a lot of ways and so were able to form a rudimentary friendship of convenience. This was until they had to face one another in combat. To Marianne’s shock, Norah was able to best her. This shook and irritated Marianne. She became bristly and cold towards Norah, and the two drifted from one another, Norah citing that Marianne is too overdramatic, and stuck up. After all, beating someone in a fight shouldn’t make them go that cold. Marianne regrets her choices regarding this friendship, and would like to rekindle it, but doesn’t know how to go about it.
